Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. – Lao Tzu
Why the name Elmtee Clinic? Well, my Grandparents owned a house in Stadbally, Co. Waterford called the Elmtree and there was a big majestic Elm at the side of the house. I fell in love with that tree and have always loved the feeling of that name and what it conjures up in my body. So when I started my own clinic there was no question what I'd name it.
I've since researched the name and have found that the Elm tree is the symbol of the divine feminine, the mother tree and in ancient times was sacred to all peoples and even far more important to them than the lead ore which made bronze weapons so strong. The Elm tree was a food source when all else failed. The inner bark made porridge as full of sustenance as oatmeal. Even the most ancient Celtic legends talked about the mystical Elm. It was believed that fairies loved the Elm and lived beneath their leaves, and it is from the name of the tree that the word elves is derived. The Elm was associated with the Mother of all things. Kipling echoed an ancient lyric when he cautioned “Ailim be the lady’s tree, burn it not or cursed ye’ll be…”
I treat many people in the clinic but over the last 5 years I've become passionate about fertility problems. So, I've immersed myself with the most up to date research in this area and use my 'unique' approach for couples trying to conceive and during pregnancy.
Don't worry if you're going to an allopathic (medical) fertility clinic I will work alongside (and complement) them with excellent results too. And if you're going down the natural route I'm here for support all the way.
My background is in genetic engineering (biotechnology) and pharmaceuticals, I holding an honors degree in biotechnology and a doctorate in integrative health science but I believe there's more to health and well-being than just the nuts and bolts (Newtonian theory) of science!
I believe most physical symptoms begin at a deeper level of either the mental, emotional or spiritual parts of our being.
Having also studied many modalities of energetic healing including Traditional Chinese Medicine (including acupuncture which I use in most my treatments), Feng Shui, Jin Shin Jyutsu, phytotherapy, phytobiophysics, shamanism, druidry and other forms of plant and energetic medicine, I believe that energetic pathways in our bodies, and the environment we spend most our time in, have to be healthy and clear for proper functioning of our complete bodies.
I have a powerful and clear vision - to bring science, medicine, psychology and spirituality together in the service of health and healing for all humanity.
