Ivy
September 30 – October 27
The lunar month of Ivy offers the opportunity to give thanks for life’s blessings and to prepare for a period of spiritual growth.
Determination, Change, Patience
The interweaving ivy is a symbol of connections, friendships and relationships.
Its twists and turns can represent the paths our bonds can take but also its long-lasting durability and ability to keep growing in harsh environments.
The spiraling shapes of the ivy represents expansion, development and consciousness as well as a symbol of survival and indestructibility. In Celtic times, druids would weave sprigs of ivy into head pieces or necklaces for clarity and to celebrate the vitality of nature.
After having been cut or damaged, the ivy branch will usually return and carry on growing, like the human spirit. We have the strength to carry on regardless of the setbacks and knocks we encounter.
