Hawthorn Moon is a time to concentrate on your lover and on renewing the intimacy and understanding between you.
Contradiction, Consequences, Relationships, Balance, Duality
The Hawthorn is a symbol of contradictions and duality; in the spring it blooms beautiful blossoms which are nestled among thorns. In Celtic times, it was frowned upon to bring a hawthorn branch into a house, largely due to the smell of the cut branches which was much the same as decaying flesh; Life and death from the same tree.
Furthermore, the hawthorn is associated with the divine feminine but yet is surrounded by male energy.
In essence this tree represents the power of balance, yin and yang, a union of opposites.
