June 10 – July 7
At the height of the Midsummer, the Celtic Moon month of Oak is the perfect time to cast spells that encourage growth of all things.
Strength, Stability, Nobility, Wisdom, Power, Loyalty
The Oak’s strength and height was honoured by the ancient Celts for its endurance and nobility. Back then, Oak leaves were worn as a special status to signify the level of spirituality attained.
It has been said that the Celtic term for Druid can be traced to the word Duir which is another word for Oak. Duir also translates as door therefore the Oak was seen as a portal to access higher spiritual realms. (“Opening the Oak door”).
The Oaks ability to attract lightning made the regal tree even more life affirming to the druids of ancient times.
In everyday life, the symbols of the Oak represent durability, purity and consistency. When life feels unstable, envisioning the Oak and drawing on its energy will rebalance and stabilize.
